Patricia Sengstack

I currently have a joint appointment at Vanderbilt. I teach informatics at the masters and doctoral levels as an Associate Professor (with a secondary appointment in the Department of Biomedical Informatics). The other half of my life here at Vandy is as the Nursing Informatics Executive on the Medical Center side and have both strategic and operational informatics responsibilities. I have been in the field of informatics for 20 years, and for the last 12 years have served in leadership positions (CNIO) at the National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center and the Bon Secours Health System. My masters and doctoral work has focused on health IT safety and remains a passion of mine.
